Doves set to perform this Sheffield in December, celebrating three decades of music

For the second time in 2025, a Manchester-based band led by two brothers are returning the grace the stages of some of the UK’s best venues.

That’s right, the incredible Doves are returning, in celebration of three decades of music, and they are playing the Octagon on 18th December, as part of their new tour.

The tour, which sees the band also playing the likes of Manchester and London, coincides with the release of the band’s album. So, Here We Are: Best Of Doves will feature 18 of the band’s hit singles, album highlights and B-sides, along with ‘Spirit Of Your Friend’: an unreleased, unearthed gem, recorded in 2006 as part of the Kingdom Of Rust sessions. The album will be available on vinyl, as well as in other formats. The album comes out on 14th November, with the full track-listing available below:

Doves founder Jimi Goodwin had this to say: 

“So, here we are… a ‘best of’ can be a difficult thing to pull off but it was surprisingly easy once we got thinking. It’s by no means complete but, then how could it be? It’s been revelatory and somehow cathartic, revising what we’ve achieved together. I mean, wow! Did we really write this stuff?”
